Capt. Larry Martin
1952-2009

My friend and long time co-worker from the Portland Spirit passed away this last weekend.
I will always have many fond memories of Capt. Larry Martin. He was an ever smiling, mischievous and fun loving man. He will be dearly missed and my love goes out to his wife Cindy, and his children Kyle and Kellie. May he rest in peace and his vivacious spirit carry on.

Being a Bridesmaid...

So...Joe and Sarah got married on October 10th! And it was wonderful! I mean really wonderful!
Willie was a groomsman and I was a bridesmaid. Yup. They make dresses for that!
I may have had to sew nickels into the front hem to make sure it hung over my belly appropriately..yeah..I did that...but it was a wonderful day full of some great memories.

Joe and Sarah are waiting for their photos and I will share them when they come in but here is a shot to tide you over. Isn't Sarah gorgeous?! And look how I masterfully hid my belly and displayed my....ummm...assets ;-)

Portland Baby Shower

Yippee! Baby Shower time!

Our good friends Sarah and Joe threw us a wonderful baby shower along with the help of some great friends Farley, Elizabeth, Kelly, Emmy & MG.

It was outside on their wonderful back deck and friends and family came through to visit us throughout the afternoon.
Joe made mimosas for the crew while Sarah was the perfect hostess in her adorable apron and there was an amazing spread of nummies for all! The weather was perfect, we were surrounded by loving friends and family and just had a great time!


Earl and his wife Margaret made an appearance and Earl, true to his great sense of humor wore a hilarious and yet appropriate T-shirt. If you look closely during the slideshow. You will see it!
